Galaxy X – likely name of Samsung’s flexible screen smartphone
We have heard the news for a long time about a possible smartphone with a foldable screen from Samsung. Since then, Lenovo has already surprised by revealing a prototype with similar technology earlier this year. However, it seems now the South Korean company is committed to meeting the expectation of who expects a device with the ability to bend over itself.
A few days ago, Samsung’s president DJ Koh assumed that the company intends to work with this technology in the next edition of Galaxy S or Galaxy Note. The registration of a new model of the National Radio Research Agency only reinforces this possibility.
The registered model was given the code SM-G888N0. But what is surprising is not this. According to some rumors, this smartphone may receive the official name of Samsung Galaxy X, giving a slight impression that the device wants to rival the newly announced iPhone X.
For now, there is not much to talk about this smartphone, the supposed Galaxy X. Nor is it possible to say that this will be the official name of this device. However, the Wi-Fi Alliance had already received registration for a model with the same code, and the specifications are not very exciting.
According to the Wi-Fi Alliance registration, this would be a smartphone with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and Bluetooth 4.2. These are characteristics already out of date if we consider that we already have Android 8.0 (Oreo) and Bluetooth 5.0. However, it is not just the operating system and Bluetooth version that defines the quality of a device.
Faced with this, we are still in the dark about this foldable smartphone from Samsung. We still have the promise of the company president that the next Galaxy S or Galaxy Note will bring this ability. Will this time go?
