A cell phone with practically no borders – leaks image of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2
The Xiaomi Mi MIX, when it was released, made a lot of noise because it had a screen that fills almost its entire front. Now, a new leaked image shows how it could be the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, which will just obliterate the competition in the aspect ratio between screen and chassis.
Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, said earlier that he was already working with the designer of Mi MIX to develop the sequence of the smartphone. Now if the image leaked by My Drivers is correct, it looks like we already have a final design.
Rumors about MIX 2 hardware point to a smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64-bit processor and Adreno 540 GPU. RAM, cameras, and internal storage were not indicated.
More details on the screen point to a screen-to-chassis ratio of 93% – as a comparison, the original Mi MIX has a 91% ratio and the Samsung Galaxy S8, launched earlier this week at an 83% ratio.
Unlike the original MIX, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 should have the screen “stretched” to the bottom of the device, with an extremely thin edge. See the image below:
